    I don't think the newer ones are alot better, at least after the 90's.. (And those bands were kinda between ebm and electro-industrial). Anyway, i think the newer ones have better gear, not more complex songs.

    After repeated listens to old school EBM / Industrial, I've realized that I don't really like it. I mean it's good, but I don't enjoy it a whole lot. It's meh for me. Too bad 'cause I REALLY wanted to love it. And I thought it would be beastly, awesome and just more pure awesomeness. But all I hear is simple/basic electronic sounds, simple song structures, simple everything. I do greatly respect and appreciate these early pioneers, but it's just not for me. :/ I don't really like early sounds. I like genres more when they're refined and perfected by later generations (if that ever happens).
