    In response to the "semi-metal song" comment on the new album, I don't really think that's anything so new for them, especially if you bring to mind older songs like "Master Race" from The Ghost of Cain or "Get Me Out" from Impurity, - just another side to the band they don't often show, but it's fine. New album is the best since impurity for me too I think. Good to hear them, as always!

    I've last seen them live after they seperated from the violin guy, must have been around 2000. . A lot of fans turned away after that. It was strange at first because the violin was so present in the old songs (e.g. vagabonds). But I think they have done well these past years.

    being a fan since the mid-eighties i found out that "eight", "carnival" and "high" are superb records as well, but goc is the first pick for me, followed by i and t&c. strange thing is that i have no opinion about tiagd after listening several times, maybe it needs some more chances, though the title-track is sadly worse!

    One of my favorite bands of all-time and are just as fantastic live! So underrated...Justin's lyrics are the best out there! I am very pleased with "Today is a Good Day". I can't wait for the next one already. ^_^

    Agree with the comments that this is the best NMA album since Impurity. Absolutly loved everything up until LOHC (also good, but not as great IMHO as their earlier work). With some albums, for me anyway, something just clicks straight away and one instinctively knows that it is good. This is such an album. Definitely a return to form, long may this continue!

    TiaGD is a good album, not the best they ever did (nor did I expect it to be), what baffles me is the title song being chosen as the first single, it's the worst on the album, they sound like a semi-metal band instead of the powerful band they really are... Autumn would be much better as a single, IMHO... but what the fuck do I know? Anyway... good album!

    LOVED this band for 20-odd years, never ever tire of listening to them. Saw them live several times in the late 80s, then not at all for several years... until recently when my obsession has returned... 4 gigs lined up for this year - one down so far, three to go!

    i love this band so much and yet i hardly listen to them! i binge for a few days and then don't listen to them for months on end... so stupid of me! listening to Thunder and Consolation yesterday made me fondly remember the early 90s when i was completely obsessed with NMA :)

    To Me "Today is a good day" is the best NMA record since Impurity. At least it's the hardest and most upbeat record they've done for the last two decades. Favorites so far are States Radio (perfect Wah-Wah at the end) and God save me (Pink Floyd kinda guitars). All in all it reminds me alot of Impurity (in overall atmosphere). Very pleasent surprise... Marshall Gill really adds something powerful and new to their sound.
