@dgriffiths: I only have the split w/ agalloch, Woodsmoke, and Trail of the Unwary, and each are very good. However, I still think Woodsmoke is the best place to start for a newcomer. Trail of the Unwary is very good, but the songs are more drawn out, and complex, yet at some moments much more ambient and serene. To truly get a feel for the sound, my vote is Woodsmoke. I cannot speak for Fabled Lore, or the other earlier works unfortunately.

Through Nest and Tolonen I became familiar to kantele - now every time I hear the beautiful kantele sound it somehow transports me to a vast barren field with a clear horizon ahead. Nest's music is probably the perfect soundtrack for a lonely purifying walk through Nature.

Oh my... I nearly cried myself to sleep last night listening to Trail of the Unwary. Nest music possesses such beauty that it's almost unbearable. I don't know how these guys do it, but they surely got a gift from the gods.
