Just found out that all the preorders of the Under the Jaguar Sun 2xLP will receive a signed insert due to the delays in getting this pressed and released. That's an awfully nice thing to do. Following in that, Essence Music should give everyone a signed guitar for the delays in releasing Autopergamene.

Strings, horns, piano... as if the Nadja could get any bigger. That sounds quite grand, and quite honestly, like it could be some of Nadja's best work ever. Can't wait to hear it.

we recorded Autopergamene the summer of...2007? I think...and for various reasons and complications, release with Essence Music has been delayed until (hopefully) sometime in the new year. Essence is only doing the cd, but there'll be a deluxe edition with crazy inserts and stuff (like the Boris release they did), as well as a standard cd release. Probably be a vinyl release, but it'll be another label who does it. Musically, it's kind of one long piece, though broken more into movements like Bliss than Thaumogenesis. More instrumentally diverse as well (strings, horns, piano, etc.).

I was going to ask about Autopergamene,,, but considering how prolific you guys are, we can't really complain about there not being enough Nadja releases. Still, I imagine Autopergamene must be colossally awesome, given how long it's been in the making. What label is putting it out and around when? Vinyl, I hope?

the myspace version is the track from the cd...unless you're listening to the old demo version, which you shouldn't. you want this one: http://www.alien8recordings.com/releases/touched @yiiix: Leah does sing on some tracks -- the MBV cover, some of the Jaguar Sun tracks, and on Autopergamene (forthcoming...for like 2 years now).

I actually tuned my baritone guitar to that tuning last night and I must say you have a good point about the "big sound" thing. Playing anything conventional is pretty hard, but then again, this is Nadja, not, I dunno, Necrophagist (which is a very good thing). Incidentally I really liked the Nadja/Kodiak thing, one note drone tunes are rad.
