　麦当娜（Madonna，1958年8月16日－），中国大陆和香港译为“麦当娜”，台湾译为“玛丹娜”，全名：Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone，美国歌手，出生于美国密歇根州的贝城。她是流行歌手、唱片和电影制作、舞者、演员及时装的象征，曾得过格莱美奖、美国金球奖。她在音乐录像带演出极其出色，在她的事业上，她善长利用政治、色情和宗教等题材。
在美国唱片业协会（RIAA）的官方公信资料上，她是美国史上销量第二的女歌手，美国国内唱片销量达6350万张。而在2000年吉尼斯世界纪录上，Madonna被评为全世界最成功的女艺人，估计全球销量达2亿张。根据2007年吉尼斯世界纪录和福布斯杂志的统计，Madonna是最会赚钱的女歌星，估计她的身价达3.25亿美元。
Madonna曾得到3次金酸莓奖最差女主角奖及1次最差女配角奖。她并在1999年得到金酸莓奖的“世纪最差女演员奖”。Madonna是迄今得到金酸莓最差女主角奖最多次的女演员，也是得到金酸莓奖项最多次的女演员之一（另一位是Paris Hilton）。但她也曾因为在Evita中饰演伊娃·贝隆而夺得金球奖最佳女主角。

生平

Madonna出生在美国密歇根州贝城（Bay City）的天主教家庭，父亲Silvio Ciccone是意大利裔美国人，克莱斯勒的工程师，母亲 Madonna Fortin 是法国裔加拿大人。Madonna小时候就与她的5个兄弟姐妹居住在底特律的郊区地带，从庞蒂亚克到罗切斯特。
在Madonna只有5岁时，30岁的母亲就因乳腺癌逝世。而她也时常会提到母亲的去世对自己的生活和职业生涯的巨大影响，在母亲过世后，父亲Silvio雇用了一个保姆Joan Gustafson，后来他们结婚并生有两个孩子。
父亲要求自己所有的孩子都接受音乐训练。Madonna也上过几个月的钢琴课程，之后，在她的央求下父亲答应她改上芭蕾课，很快她就证明自己是天生的舞者。

在1976年从 Rochester Adams 高中毕业之后，Madonna获得了密歇根大学的舞蹈奖学金并进入学习。在自己的芭蕾老师 Christopher Flynn 的鼓励下，Madonna只在学校待了一个学期就去了纽约州追逐自己的舞蹈梦想。在那里她师从现代舞的传奇大师玛莎·葛莱姆以及她的门生 Pearl Lange 。随后Madonna参加了几个现代舞团的演出，包括阿尔文·艾利（Alvin Ailey）和 Walter Nicks 。
1979年，Madonna作为一名舞者参加了法国迪斯科之星Patrick Hernandez的巡回演唱会，之后便放弃了自己刚刚起步的舞蹈生涯，开始追逐音乐的梦想。她组过好几个乐队，包括“早餐俱乐部”（Breakfast Club）和“艾美”（Emmy）。也写过不少歌并因此在纽约的舞蹈俱乐部圈子中小有名气，特别是一首叫做<Danceteria>的。
1982年Madonna与Sire签约。她当时的试音歌曲Ain’t No Big Deal出自自己经常合作的 Stephen Bray，不过这首歌若干年之后才发行，因为当时Epic的团体Barracuda刚刚发行了他们演唱的版本。五年后，Madonna版的Ain’t No Big Deal才在单曲True Blue的B-side出现，不过从来没有在她的专辑中收录。
