    @ Kuvainraastaja: if you are really listening to BM-songs from a distant point of view by analyzing the technical or stylish issues of the kind of riff they use, black metal is maybe not the right genre for you. this riff is quite unique in many parts anyway

    I just don't get how this band is so renowned. If you listen to this song for example, it's really hard to understand what elevates this pile of clumsy and arguably generic riffage to such a position it holds today. I just hear Dead-era Mayhem impersonation executed without any talent whatsoever.
