yeah the latest album was a REAL letdown. you could see it coming as most of anthem was shifting in that direction really.. still they put some outtakes from the new album on they're myspace that sound pretty good.. maybe there's hope for the next album..

Almost all of that album sounds really half-assed. The ska songs especially sound really phoned in, for the most part.

Who can't stand the vast majority of In With Out Crowd songs? The ones I like are Let Her Go and A Still Life Franchise...

Because I hate it when they do songs without trumpets and the typical guitar playing style (off-beat rythm). You'll hate a lot of Less Than Jake then. What with them not actually ever having a trumpet player to my knowledge. D'oh!

I don't have an issue with them branching out from just playing ska-punk, I just have an issue with their last album being half-assed as hell. Every song sounded almost completely the same and had no personality whatsoever.

Old LTJ for me too, I have to say after getting over the initial this isn't the brand spanking new ska punk I ordered I don't mind some of the new stuff although for me, it's not LTJ. I agree with whoever said more people need to get B is for B sides...it's miles better than Anthem

whoa..sorry. i'm just not exactly sure what to consider ska, and i was wondering if LTJ could be considered ska. didn't mean to cause a whole commotion.

there's nothing i hate more than ignorant people. pay attention, people. ltj was never a straight-up ska band. they were always punk-pop with ska influences. they're on a major record label, and ska doesn't sell anymore. bands can't keep writing the same stuff over and over again. vinnie is in his 30's. he writes more mature lyrics now, and they can't be put to happy, almost childish ska beats

I just gave Borders & Boundaries another listen, and that album is a lot better than I gave it credit for five or six years ago. They struck a really good balance between pop, punk, and ska, and Faction has got to be one of the best songs they've ever written.

October 18 2006 - Just saw LTJ perform the entire Losing Streak album from cover to cover at their concert last month. It was awesome. They indulged the audience with another 10 or so songs after that. They ROCKED like they used to.

Pezcore was the first Less Than Jake album I ever got, and I still think it's the best one.
