Inspired by Mark_H's fine lists, I've decided to create one with my ratings of albums released in 2010, which you can find here. This is my list of prog albums released in 2011.

I rate every song on an album based on the following criteria.

10 - Masterpiece
9 - Excellent
8 - Very good
7 - Nice
6 - Average
5 - Could be better
4 - Don't like it
3 - Bad
2 - Horrible
1 - Can't listen to it

When rating an album, I calculate its weighted average considering each song's duration. I also consider previous works released by the artist that I know of, so I can adjust ratings from time to time.

Albums rated around 7 or above are recommended.
Albums rated around 6 are average and you could give it a try to see if you like it.

When rating prog albums I try to do so in a historical context, that is how an album compares against the entire body of prog. This means that the best album for any given year, which most people would rate with top marks may not receive the same rating in my charts as only the best albums of all time should get the highest ratings... This chart does not include compilations or live albums.

A fresh new thing! Short acoustic pieces! enjoyable and i think i need the Mosaic album =)

Genre: 90s Neo Prog

Well this is maybe enjoyable for some neo prog fans. Personally i would rate it rather average..

► Magenta (WLS) - Metamorphosis [ Studio Album ] (2008)

Genre: Neo Prog / Retro Prog

A good album. Very enjoyable longtracks! This album is at least faaaaaaaar better than Home! But Somehow the (almost too sweet) voice of Christina don't suite to the lyrical content of the songs especially in 'The Ballad Of Samuel Layne'. A bright, angelic voice does not fit to the horrors of World War I. Otherwise recommended to any retro / neo prog fan!
