I can't help but feel hugely disappointed with this stuff. DK and Melvins are both two of my all-time favourite bands and yet this is such a diluted compromise of both of their talents. There's little room for the drumming skills of Dale Crover, and even less of Melvins' ambient experimental side, and let's be honest: Jello can wail over any heavy music like he's ringing a bell, and it will sound great but ultimately, after all these years, pretty samey. Personally, I get a hell of a lot more of a kick listening to Melvins' 'Houdini' and DK's 'Plastic Surgery Disasters' individually. This stuff is pretty boring. Still, on the upside it's alwas great to see Jello working like a mad beaver with other bands while his old DK bandmates fester like the scumbags they are.
