Wayne doesn't use ghostwriters for all of his work, most of his mixtapes (his best work) are his lyrics and he's written for other people, that Fat Joe track I linked to is one of them - either that or lil' wayne's ghostwriter wrote them for Joe. Drake has definitely written for Wayne, he's spoken openly about it in interviews although he's also said Wayne has written things for him too so who knows. Either way this is massively off the subject, let's call it a day.

A "true" hip-hop fan = somebody who actually appreciates and listens to it rather than just listening to whatever's hot on the radio, somebody who supports the artists they like, somebody who's studied it's history and understand where it's come from, somebody who's heard a lot of artists. None of those people would think Wayne is the greatest alive, they might think he's a good rapper but you'd pretty much always find Rakim, Kane, Nas, Biggie, Jay, Pun, 2pac or whoever else being mentioned a hell of a lot more. Fat Joe released 2 better albums after Represent by the way, both of them after he met and started working with Pun, weird. Not saying Represent wasn't a good album but listen to his lyrics on that - very very basic and generic early 90s boom bap, nothing impressive lyrically at all, now compare it to his later 90s work.
