I Quit Girls is actually about how the guitarist originally was in Girls but quit because Hellhole Ratrace and Lust for Life were the only good songs they had.

I'm going to become a journalist specifically so I can toil in the newsroom for years until I get the perfect story that allows me to use the headline "Young Hearts Spark Fire." I'm not sure what the story would be (maybe some kids went to smoke in the woods or something, I don't know), but I would write it then immediately quit. Ideally I would work for Girls magazine, that way my entire resignation note could read, "I quit Girls."
