Really? I thought the stuff from Oceanic was way more subtle than Wavering Radiant. Oh well... Anyway, I'm not sure why but this song sounds like it could be the soundtrack for a Lovecraft novel.

Old Isis was heavy in a more upfront, obvious way. Recent Isis is still just as heavy in my opinion, but it's more of a subtle, sublime heaviness. But hellsatana13 got it right: "All ISIS = awesomeness"

The sun makes its way in destined to wake... Also incredible live. Pelican + ISIS = an incredibly grand concert too awesome to miss. Those people out there who say that music isn't the same as it used to be, that there's no talent, that there's no ability to write and perform, those people have their heads in the sands of mainstream radio.
