  Iron Maiden is a hell of a lot more than those two albums. Don't get me wrong, they're great fucking albums, but they got more of a raw punk rock kind of feel than their later stuff. It's almost like the difference between Floyd with Syd and Floyd after Syd; they're both great, just different. Maiden grew and evolved in their music after those two albums, and made so much great music. You gotta really have your head up your ass to only like the first two.

  P.S. If you disagree with me at least listen to the contemporary albums of Black Flag, Sex Pistols and even The Ramones and you'll see that Maiden at the beginning where both metal and punk influenced. As Metallica and Slayer were...learn the history of your favorite musicians..

  Chillout people! when someone says that this album has a 'punkish' feeling isn't saying that is a punk rock album, is just admitting as Maiden DID that they ALSO were influenced by UK's punk. If you pay attention thats why Eddie's cover is 'punkish'. Chillout, dudes!!! No one is saying this isn't a metal album.

  One of the best albums they ever made, and certainly one of the most diverse. Love the light and shade of Remember Tomorrow, Phantom, Strange World and Charlotte. There is just a great, bluesy vibe about some of the guitar playing on this album: kudos to Dave Murray.
