I'd agree with The_Night_Head that A Textbook Tragedy are most similar to these guys. Except for the fact that Textbooks' drummer is 1,000 times better. Nothing against the Moats' drummer, he's good but Nick Yacyshyn is one of the best I've ever heard.

The end of Prologue always gives me the chills. It reminds me of the old torture films I used to watch where these sick, twisted men would do the most horrible, depraved things imaginable to the human body, whilst listening to some of the most beautifully composed classical music ever.

a friend of mine, steve, used to play for them. he got me to listen to them, some of their earlier stuff was sonically chaotic, but "the design" was awesome. i would of bought regardless support the locals, but really enjoyed it. have yet to hear the new one...seems the reviews are mixed.
