Incubus 成功与友谊，可以印证在他们的身上，来自加州的Funk-Metal五人团体Incubus，历经多年的奋斗， 凭着坚强的实力，拓展了自己的音乐版图，成为当代雄霸一方的顶尖摇滚劲旅。 在美国这个音乐大镕炉的城市，而新庞克音乐复兴运动的大本营就是充满阳光的加州，这几位团员本是高中朋友Brandon Boyd (vocals), Mike Einziger (guitars), Alex Katunich (bass) and Jose Pasillas (drums)，自然而然受到当地的音乐熏陶，也欣起了组团的念头。 主唱 Bradon声音酷似 Faith No More的 Mike Patton，旺盛激昂的声音力道在诠释歌曲的生命张力有独道的作风，团员们深受 60-70年代带有 Soul / Funk调性的乐团包括 Average White Band、Sly & The Family Stone及当今前辈 Red Hot Chili Peppers、Brand New Heavies、Steve Vai等影响，使得Incubus造就出 Funk / Hip Hop… / Metal混合血液，展现鲜明的刚烈冥顽诉求，传媒誉其为Red Hot Chili Peppers与 Faith No More 的巧妙结晶。自1991年成军后，他们有条有序的在南加州各地Pub做表演，直到1995年DJ Lyfe的穿针引线，发行了独立专辑Fungus Amongus。一年后被Immortal唱片签下后，成为 Korn正宗同门师弟。 97年初发表首张EP “Enjoy Incubus”同年交出第一张录音专辑”S.C.I.E.N.C.E”，立即展开2年时间与Sugar Ray、Limp Bizkit、Ozzy Osbourne、Black Sabbath、Korn、311等巡回演出，奠定广大乐势力，并参与1998年的Family Values与Korn，Limp Bizkit等乐团同台，吸引众多乐迷目光，迅速在Alternative / Rock界展露耀眼光芒。1999年的一张Make Yourself专辑后，在他们参与2000年的一场摇滚盛会Ozzfest，让销售突飞猛进，各大排行榜都有他们的踪迹，推升到事业的最高峰。 2000年的Incubus在短时间内就冒出「Pardon Me」、「Stellar」等两首畅销单曲单曲，「Pardon Me」更是一飞冲天在Billboard现代摇滚榜缔造Top3抢眼成绩，并且居高不下横踞榜上长达数周以上，而专辑”Make Yourself”也在发行后不久销售就破百万张，对Incubus而言无疑在乐坛上获得空前成功，摆脱不上不下的尴尬因境，历经多年努力，Incubus凭着走遍全美的蛮劲，一场场展现实力的现场演出，终将拓展出自己的音乐版图，以其特有融合Punk、Hip Hop、Metal重击摇滚魔音，打出自己特有的名号迅速占有乐坛一席之地，使天下芸芸Metal信徒拜服其麾下。 蛰伏2年后，新专辑Morning View一发行，单曲Wish You Were Here立即傲然雄霸现代摇滚榜Top10，强劲魅力再度出击。闪电锐利的吉他声响，DJ刷碟操盘，以及主唱鼓噪喧嚣的气势，加上乐手豪气不羁的狂奏，动人的精湛演出。虽然乐队团员Alex求去，以及Alternative Metal乐队Primer 55 刷碟高手Chris Kilmore加入，不减昂扬狂飙的情绪，注入了另一股新生命力。特别的是，专辑的最后一首歌曲，加入了管弦乐的编制，淡淡的东方小调，结束在一阵虫鸣之间，述说了另一个早晨的到来。无疑的是，2006年末的专辑Morning
