Hot Chip第三張專輯Made In The Dark我已連煲了兩三個星期，愈聽愈過癮。過癮到好想看到他們的現場演出。

畢竟他們一行五人走在一起一字型排開的演出，已甚有昔日新浪潮年代的Synth-Based Full Band樂團之型格。Hot Chip之成功與優越，除了在精良的Electro曲風下有著優秀的流行歌作曲才華，還有正正他們是一隊出色的現場表演隊伍，甚至大家說他們現場演出時比起在唱片裡更要出色。今期Mixmag的The Live Issue特集正探討了這點。

我喜愛Made In The Dark之程度，更甚於叫他們廣受注目的2006年轉捩點專輯The Warning。今期Uncut月刊說Made In The Dark是2008年度的Sound Of Silver(LCD Soundsystem)，我相當認同。

在Made In The Dark裡，一方面乘著R&B節奏而來We’re Looking For A Lot Of Love、Made In The Dark、In The Privacy Of Our Love抑或Whistle For Will這首鋼琴Ballad等旋律優美怦然心動靚歌，乃進一步表現到歌曲創作人Alexis Taylor的作曲才華。另一方面，他們又不忘衝出DIY住家收錄的形式，特別跑到專業錄音室以Full Band形式收錄好幾首歌曲，比如Out At The Pictures絕對是一首先聲奪人、滿是Live動能的開場曲，Hold On的Disco-Funk組態亦來得Groovy非常。

最重要是Hot Chip亦滿佈鮮明的電音素材，聽聽用上了Todd Rundgren之Sample的Shake A Fist本是一首美好而神秘的Electro-Pop的曲目，中段卻加入了一段瘋狂的電聲Jammin’ 片段。

繼前作Indie-Disco大熱作〈Over And Over〉後，今次的跳脫主打單曲〈Ready For The Floor〉(謠傳本是他們寫給Kylie Minogue的一曲) 之MV亦同樣繽紛趣緻。
