Wed 16 Dec – Gogol Bordello

Η συναυλία των Gogol Bordello, όπως των Firewater και των Kultur Shock που είχα τη μεγάλη τύχη να παρακολουθήσω, είναι για να βιώνεται απ’ όλες τις αισθήσεις. Οι ξεσηκωτικοί, πολυπολιτισμικοί ήχοι, η απίστευτη σκηνική παρουσία, ο ξέφρενος χορός, ή ζεστή αίσθηση του δικού σου ιδρώτα αλλά και της/του διπλανής/ου σου, η πίεση της μάζας καθώς πέφτει επάνω σου, ο ξαφνικός χώρος που δημιουργείται και η σειρά σου να χωθείς μέσα σ’ αυτή, οι μυρωδιές από τους καπνούς και από τους ανθρώπους που γλεντάνε, ακόμα και αυτή η αποπνικτική αίσθηση όταν δεν μπορείς και δεν αντέχεις άλλο. Όλα τα παραπάνω λίγο ή πολύ τα νιώσαμε εχθές μ’ ένα ίσως βακχικό και κυρίως ξέγνοιαστο χαμόγελο στο τέλος.

Περνώντας στις λεπτομέρειες της συναυλίας τώρα, χωρίς τους Cabaret Balkan για support που περιμέναμε πολλοί και με κάποια καθυστέρηση, γύρω στις 10 και τέταρτο ακούστηκε για πρώτη φορά η φωνή του Eugene Hütz. Τη στιγμή δε που βγήκε με το μπουκάλι κρασί στη σκηνή το πραγματικά ασφυκτικά κατάμεστο Principal πήρε αμέσως φωτιά. Οι Gogol, ο κόσμος, όλοι ήταν έτοιμοι για το μεγάλο πάρτι που στήθηκε για περίπου δύο ώρες. Χορέψαμε, ξεφαντώσαμε, αφήσαμε στο πάτωμα του Principal χέρια, πόδια, παΐδια, μάτια (παρακαλώ την κοπελιά που ήταν μπροστά να μου το επιστρέψει :ρ). Τα τραγούδια κυρίως παιγμένα με περισσότερη ορμή, παρά δεξιοτεχνία και ίσως πιο πολύ βασισμένα στην ενέργεια που θα δίνανε προς τον κόσμο ήταν ως επί το πλείστον από τους δύο τελευταίους δίσκους: Gypsy Punks Underdog World Strike και Super Taranta. Alcohol, 60 Revolutions, Mala Vida (!!!) αλλά κυρίως Start Wearing Purple και Think Locally Fuck Globally υπήρξαν οι αγαπημένες στιγμές της συναυλίας. Στα δύο δε τελευταία τραγούδια, για όσους δεν ήταν εκεί, χίλια και άτομα, χοροπηδούσαν, χτυπιόντουσαν, ξεβιδωνόντουσαν, αφηνιάζονταν, αγκαλιάζονταν χορεύοντας, στριφογύριζαν αλαλάζοντας, τραγουδούσαν τους γλεντζέδικους αλλά και αντιεξουσιαστικούς στίχους των Gogol. Μέσα σ’ αυτούς και γω!

Η χθεσινή συναυλία (μου) έφερνε αναγκαστικά στο μυαλό τη συναυλία των Kultur Shock προ δεκαπενθημέρου. Το τι είχε γίνει τότε είχε περιγράψει περίφημα ο mamercus εδώ: http://www.last.fm/user/mamercus/journal/2009/11/28/372sd0_kultur_shock_live_in_thessaloniki,_27112009
Τα περισσότερα στοιχεία των δύο συναυλιών ήταν θετικά και κοινά. Πολύ-φυλετικά συγκροτήματα μ’ έντονα τα παραδοσιακά στοιχεία των κρατών προέλευσης των μελών της εκάστοτε μπάντας, αντιεξουσιαστικός χαρακτήρας, έντονη σκηνική παρουσία γεμάτη ενέργεια. Ενέργεια που πολλές φορές νόμιζες ότι ήταν παραπάνω από αυτή που μπορούσε ν αντέξει το κοινό. Ωστόσο θα ήθελα να μείνω στη διαφορά των δύο. Οι Gogol Bordello είναι μια μπάντα πλέον αναγνωρίσιμη και εμπορική. Η συμμετοχή τους ως support σε συναυλίες της Madonna , η συμμετοχή τους σε ταινίες, αλλά και σε μεγάλα φεστιβάλ είναι περασμένα στο ιστορικό της μπάντας. Από την άλλη οι Kultur σαφώς πιο άγνωστοι στον χώρο, με πιο έντονο πολιτικό στίχο και πολύ πιο σκληρό ήχο από τους Gogol ποτέ δεν θα τους φτάσουν σε εμπορική ισχύ. Οι μεν εκπροσωπούν τη σκληρή και «δυσάρεστη» πλευρά της γαμημένης κοινωνίας μας χωρίς να θέλουν να εξωραΐσουν τίποτα, οι δε, η μπάντα του Ευγένιου δηλαδή, τις χαρούμενες , γλεντζέδικες πτυχές του περιθωρίου (που μεταξύ μας, δεν ανήκουν πλέον). Δεν θέλω να ακουστεί ως μομφή το τελευταίο, αλλά ως απλή παρατήρηση. Ο Eugene Hütz ούτως ή άλλως κοντά στα 10 χρόνια περιπλανιόταν ως μετανάστης από την πατρίδα του την Ουκρανία στην Πολωνία, στην Ουγγαρία, στην Αυστρία, στην Ιταλία, μέχρι να καταλήξει στις ΗΠΑ (που αλλού;) και να ξεκινήσει την καριέρα του παίζοντας σε βουλγάρικους γάμους. Και όμως, παρά την επιτυχία των Gogol νομίζω ότι μετανάστης έχει μείνει ακόμα, αυτός και η υπόλοιπη μπάντα του. Όπως και ο Gino μαζί με τους Kultur Shock, όπως και πολλοί άλλοι και όπως και κάποιοι από μας που νοιώθουμε μετανάστες και αποξενωμένοι στην κοινωνία που ζούμε επειδή δεν μας εκφράζει. Για όλους εμάς που νοιώθουμε λίγο ή πολύ έτσι ήταν κυρίως το χθεσινό γλέντι που έστησαν οι Gogol Bordello. Και τους ευχαριστούμε!

Βαθμολογία: 9/10

Υγ. Κανένας δεν έπρεπε να είχε πρόβλημα σε μια συναυλία όπως η χθεσινή, που πάντως είχε τεχνικά προβλήματα. Δυστυχώς χάσαμε μεγάλο μέρος μέχρι να περάσουμε από τον απίστευτα μπουκωμένο και λειψό ήχο των πρώτων 5-6 τραγουδιών, στο κάπως αξιοπρεπή ήχο της συνέχειας. Και είναι κάτι που παρατηρείται πολύ τελευταία τόσο στο Principal όσο και στο Block33. Kultur Shock, Woven Hand και Yann Tiersen από τα τελευταία live που το πρόβλημα ήταν εξίσου σημαντικό. Πραγματικά δεν ξέρω αν σ’ αυτές τις περιπτώσεις φταίει ο καλλιτέχνης ή ο ηχολήπτης, αλλά το θεωρώ απαράδεκτο να τυραννιόμαστε στο 30 – 40% της συναυλίας επειδή κάποιοι δεν κάνουν καλά τη δουλειά τους. Δεν υπάρχει καμιά δικαιολογία να χάνουμε τραγούδια όπως το Sally ή το Ultimate επειδή δεν ακούμε τη φωνή ή κάποια από τα μουσικά όργανα.

Śro 9 XII – Gogol Bordello

Rotunda, miejsce to dziwne, miejsce szalone. Pierwszy mój krakowski koncert odbył się właśnie w tym miejscu. To tutaj za czasów licealnych cisnąłem się w drzwiach żeby wywalczyć bilet na koncert zespołu Pidżama Porno. To właśnie w tym miejscu ponad dwa lata temu ewakuowano publiczność w czasie koncertu Myslovitz gdyż strop zacząć mieć niebezpieczne ugięcia. To właśnie w tej klimatyzowanej sali miał się odbyć koncert na, który wielu długo czekało. Czekałem też i ja.

W klubie pojawiliśmy się kilka minut przed 20. Trochę później na scenie pojawił się jeden z członków zespołu (chyba Oren) aby zagrać set didżejski. Po około pół godziny zmienił go ktoś inny (Pedro?). Secik nie był zły, stopniowo przyspieszał i robił się coraz bardziej bałkański. Odnotować warto, że w czasie jego trwania usłyszałem kawałek, który kiedyś puścił mi Carlos M. w czasie mojego pobytu w Vancouver. Był to Puto.

Nie mam pojęcia, która mogła być godzina kiedy na scenę wyszli oni. Tłum oszalał na sam widok zespołu a to co było później ciężko jest opisać słowami. Jak już wspomniałem, w Rotundzie byłem na różnych koncertach: na wielkich, małych, znanych, nieznanych, punkowych, rockowych, jazzowych... ale takiego szaleństwa ten klub chyba jeszcze nie widział. Nawet gdyby wtedy miał się zawalić strop a wszyscy spadlibyśmy do baru piętro niżej, była by to piękna śmierć. Taka Gypsy Punkowa:) Czemu tłum oszalał? Intro, Ultimate Sally to dopiero początek... Jako czwarty w setliście znalazł się kawałek Not a Crime tak więc oszalałem, wpadłem w jakiś dziki młyn, zaliczyłem glebe ale co tam, DROP THE CHARGES! Wonderlust King był kolejny. Już wtedy ledwo żyłem, zrozumiałem, że jestem stary i zdrowie już nie to co dawniej, ale na resztkach baterii udało się to przeżyć a nawet czasem krzyknąć "LET ME BE GONE" itd. Tribal Connection był kolejnym utworem, i całe szczęście bo wreszcie udało się złapać pełny oddech, kapkę odsapnąć i delektować się dźwiękami skrzypiec i akordeonu. Immigraniada, 60 Revolutions to kolejne utwory, które sprawiły, że wspólnie oszaleliśmy i kontynuowaliśmy bałkańską zabawę. Mishto! to jeden z tych utworów na, które czekałem. Bardzo ciekaw byłem jak Pedro wypadnie na żywo. Pedro w zespole Gogol Bordello to postać raczej kojarzona z instrumentami perkusyjnymi tymczasem w czasie trwania utworu Mishto! zamienia się w żywiołowego MC. Tak też stało się i tym razem. Kolejnymi utworami były Through the Roof 'n' Underground, na którym to znowu udało się odpocząć i zaśpiewać kilka wersów z zespołem, oraz lela palatute, który jest chyba nowym utworem zespołu. Zupełnie nie znany mi kawałek, niczym nie odstający od całej reszty, i... ROBI ROBOTĘ! Na koniec regularnego występu znowu zrobiło się ostro: Eugene Hütz chwycił butelkę wina, oświadczył się Pameli i zaśpiewał: Start Wearing Purple. Na sam koniec: Think Locally, Fuck Globally czyli kolejna okazja do darcia mordy i szaleńczego tańca.

Po bardzo długich oklaskach i tupaniu w uginającą się podłogę Rotundy, zespół pojawił się na scenie. Właściwie to najpierw wyszedł Eugene, odstawił butelkę, złapał gitarę i zaśpiewał: Alcohol. Chwilę potem na scenie pojawił się Jurij i Sergiej. Zrobiło się dekadencko. Przedostatnim utworem okazał się kawałek Mala Vida. Jest to prawdopodobnie albo bardzo stary albo bardzo młody kawałek. Kolejny, którego nigdy nie słyszałem, za to na sam koniec usłyszeliśmy Baro Foro. Dla mnie było to piękne zwieńczenie koncertu, gdyż ten kawałek był pierwszym utworem Gogol Bordello jaki w życiu słyszałem, więc tak jakby historia zatoczyła koło...i to jeszcze w Rotundzie (Rotunda to budowla w układzie centralnym wzniesiona na planie koła).

Podsumowując, napiszę jedynie, że pięknie było bawić się ze wszystkimi na DOLE, wspólnie z Eugenim nabijać się z balkonu czyli strefy Vipowskiej i przeżywać to niezwykłe widowisko. Coś pięknego! Nie ważne czy stary czy młody, czy punk, skejt, metal, czy z agh-u. Każdy się bawił, każdy szalał. Podejrzewam, że każdy też wykręcał w domu podkoszulek z potu gdyż w Rotundzie jak zawsze klimatyzowana sala dała radę:)

P.S. Do niczego się nie przyczepiłem a mogłem do nagłośnienia. Nie było ono idealne lecz nie o to tym razem chodziło. :)
