For me "Homegrown Studio Sessions" is a good album. I like the song "Concealed" - yeah,that's cool!

the new album feels flat, energyless and drained on the whole. "concealed" is decent, blending some fun tritone action with a sturdy vocal melody. "voices" was better as the old myspace demo, now it feels slightly overproduced and the new solo tone sucks badly (sounds like a random guitar noob noodling). the rest is painfully mediocre at best, muzak at worst. not a triumphant return, more like a indecipherable murmur from beyond the grave.

I like their older albums MUCH more. The songs on their new album feel monophonic.

It sounds nothing like the solo record... I actually liked that more, the guys would probably slay me for that opinion but I really do think it's better.

This band was so fantastic... Awesome lyrics and vocals in particular. FBM just isn't the same to my ears. (Yes I know it's the same vocalist.)
