Fate计划巡回演出的时候，发生了一系列事件使得巡回演出不得不取消。主唱Radke被爆出有药物依赖，并且在6月12日拉斯维加斯因为假释期间暴力行为而被通缉，而6月16日在家乡被捕。之后乐队决定把Radke踢出乐队，来自Blessthefall乐队的Craig Mabbitt加入乐队成为主唱。8月4日Radke被判刑4年。在监狱里Radke在MySpace的博客又引出问题，Radke首先对自己的行为向歌迷道歉，但是他认为被判刑是错误的，之后在乐队其他成员的博客上出现了不同的声音，Max Green的博客上说，“你活该被判刑，你就是个罪犯”，而在Craig Mabbitt的博客上，Radke留言说Mabbitt偷了他的女朋友，就因为Mabbitt想成为“Ronnie Radke”。在宣布Craig Mabbitt正式成为主唱之后，Escape The Fate开始制作他们的新专辑。
