Deltron's production creates a surreal atmosphere along with Del's unique style. His solo stuff has amazing production too but 3030 is sci-fi dreamlike type stuff.

I don't understand the hype that Deltron gets. It's like, I listen to deltron to and I like it, but I think his solo efforts are way better.

i haven't listened to automatik statik yet, and though lately it seems every time i turn around del has a new album, which is very admirable, i think when someone else is in charge of the project it tends to be better. i don't think it's del's production per say cause he definitely can make some nice beats (see If You Must) but his artistic vision to make it last for a whole album seems to be lacking. i'm not too hung up on never hearing deltron II either, only if it ends up like OB4CL2 do I want it to be released, don't let it be the next gnarls barkley pt 2. i'm very anxious about madvillainy 2 for these reasons

I can't make music but Funk man and automatik statik make my skin crawl, I really respect the man but I don't know what has happened. I really don't enjoy these messed up instrumentals and freestyle-esq. lyrics. I wanna try the Tame one album.

Still, Deltron 3030 is one of the greatest Hip Hop albums ever.Hard to top with a follow up I guess... Good that Del is back and working with new creative material though - even if Events II seems to be a looong way off
