Always had something like a 'Love/Hate' thing with this album, althought it was a really ''Bowie year'' back then.. I like ''Let's dance'' and ''Cat People'' but some tracks like ''Modern Love'' are real.. pop songs, commercial it was one of his best, but i think most Bowie fans prefer his more ''experimental'' albums..

Bowie's version of an "In 'N' Out" Burger. Popular and tasty, for what it is. The sales numbers don't lie. And it's ok to like a good burger, just as a break from a fancier filet mignon dinner, every now and then. Kind of a guilty pleasure.

For all trollers: "Let's Dance has sold over 10 and a half million copies worldwide, making it Bowie's best-selling album." ( Other comments? )

Not a bad album at all. Definitely not one of his better ones but there are some good tracks (Modern Love, China Girl, Let's Dance). The rest is hit-or-miss depending on the person. Bowie's 80s stuff had some charm to it.

Wow, of all the albums to have such a messed up track listing.... It's almost like a slap in the face to people who really do like it. ahahaha

haha Lastfm only has two tracks on here, that's probably enough. China Girl was an old song from '77 and Cat People is better on the Cat People soundtrack... Ricochet is alright but this is a big step down especially after a 3 year wait

Slinky Vagabond features Glen Matlock of the Sex Pistols, Clem Burke of Blondie, and Earl Slick (David Bowie's guitarist) and singer Keanan Duffty. Slinky Vagabond made their debut in May 2007 at Irving Plaza as part of Joey Ramone's annual birthday bash. Slinky Vagabond also performed for Gen Art during New York fashion week and at the Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp

Agree with Our_Lunacy, I kind of like it. Seems to be Bowie's most mainstream album, as evident by the 3 singles ("Let's Dance", "China Girl", "Modern Love")that did really well on the charts at the time.

Really good album, quite underrated I think, kind of an extension of the Plastic Soul stuff. Also the single of Let's Dance is I think about three minutes shorter, doesn't have the strange staggered notes and singing in the middle and near the end.

Is the version of 'Let's Dance' released on the album supposed to sound dramatically different from the single? Because the version I have, well, it sounds a little like house music, or perhaps some sort of Westwood runway anthem...It's good either way, I just don't know if it really appeared on the album in that form.
