Cut Copy是一支来澳大利亚墨尔本的synth pop乐队，乐队由Dan Whitford (lead vocals/keys/guitar), Tim Hoey (bass/guitar) and Mitchell Scott (drums)三人组成，签约于悉尼Modular唱片公司。早期成员Bennett Foddy因求学2004年中旬离开。
他们的音乐具有很多的现代元素，乐队受80年代new wave和post-punk风格，以及像New Order，Kraftwerk，Electric Light Orchestra这样的老乐队影响比较多。他们的歌曲具有电子舞曲风。
在2001年，作为个人作品，Dan Whitford在Modular Recordings发布了单曲“1981”和EP“I Thought Of Numbers”。直到2003年Tim Hoey,Mitchell Scott,和Bennett Foddy被招募到来后，Cut Copy乐队才真正意义上成立了。
在2004年，发布了第一张唱片Bright Like Neon Love，2005年乐队在伦敦，纽约和洛杉矶与Franz Ferdinand, Junior Senior,TV on the Radio,Bloc Party,Pretty Girls Make Graves,Mylo等艺人一起展开了全球巡演，这是他们第一次的国际性演出。

在2008年，乐队发布了他们的第二张专辑In Ghost Colours
