there is not much 'metal' to them. it's pretty much basic blues a lot of the time.

But Zep and Sabbath probably wouldn't have sounded the way they did if it wasn't for Cream shaping rock & roll into what it was at the tail end of the 60's, just before Zep were on the scene.
