This year was a year of great changes to my musical taste. Catch me in January 2009 and I'd say my favourite artist was Evanescence (I still LIKE them, just not as much). I hit 450 artists simply 'cause I wanted to *eyeroll*. The two camps I sit between are no longer pop rock and gothic metal, but industrial rock and circus metal.

Recently, I realized something as well: a big artist count (as in, 1000 or more) is nothing more than a cosmetic award, with as much worth in the real world as internets or e-peen. Sure, it's fun to see the newly discovered artists adding to the count but if you don't really enjoy them that's all they'll ever do. No matter how hard we try to stay pure, at the end of the day, we humans are naturally picky and narrow-minded. Now put down that Florence + the Machine album and go listen to the music you really like. (With no offence to fans, buuut...)

This will be quite similar to my overall top artists list because I only started scrobbling around the end of 2009.

At first, it was just an excuse that I did listen to true industrial, but I found out I quite liked them. ;3

Stupid Girls.

That's a hard one. They're all so damn weird. :D
Probably the whole of None of Them Knew They Were Robots.

Civilisation? I dunno...it's the one I've listened to the most, though mostly on Spotify or Last.fm radio. =/

5. how many albums by 13 do you own (Gary Numan)?
Three.

6. what is your favorite song by 50 (Diary Of Dreams)?
The Plague - version whatever. It's the only one I've heard. =/

7. is there a song by 39 (Noise Unit) that makes you sad?
No.

8. what is your favorite album by 15 (Jamiroquai)?
It was Synkronized, but I've only got the Greatest Hits album on this computer. =/

3. Emilie Autumn - 'Sings'/yells/growls so dramatically that you can barely hear any of the lyrics.

5. Evanescence - Melodramatic to the point of silliness...pseudo-Gothic, pseudo-Gothic metal.

7. Aesthetic Perfection - Bad Emotronic.
8. I:Scintilla - Brittany can't sing live.
9. Claire Voyant - All their songs last far too long.
10. Jabberwock - Bratty, angst-filled, with the occasional slip into gratuitous English, which can't even be proven since Lena's vocals are not too clear.
11. Hanzel und Gretyl - Wait, pretending to be Nazis was funny now?
12. Project Pitchfork - Repetitive and overdramatic.
13. Jamiroquai - Anvilicious, and not in a good way.
14. Ayria - Just...meh.
