Cannibal Corpse is an American death metal band founded in 1988. The band has since released 10 studio albums, one boxed set, and one live album. Although Cannibal Corpse had virtually no radio and television exposure, a cult following began to build behind the group with albums like 1991’s Butchered at Birth and 1992’s Tomb of the Mutilated.
Cannibal Corpse mostly draws influence from thrash metal bands, such as Slayer;[1] other death metal bands, such as Death, have also played a major role in establishing their sound. [1] Cannibal Corpse is known for their horror fiction-themed lyrics, such as gore, mutilation, murder, torture, and death. There had been some complaints from teachers and parents that Cannibal Corpse can be dangerous for children.

Now I'm not saying that no one should like CC, I respect that people like CC and I'm not one to say peoples opinions are wrong because, no ones opinion is fact. But if we had a more average brutal death band as the main influence we would see more bands like CC, but we would also have a much wider variety of brutal death.

It's sad this band had a stronger influence on modern brutal death metal then the good brutal death metal bands, particularly Obituary who formed in the same year as CC. Then theirs Morbid Angel, Immolation, Dismember and many many other much more talented and better to listen bands that could of shaped the genre, but it seems we got CC who's vocalist you can barely hear at all with repetitive riffs and drum beats.
