Yeah me too, I love progressive deathcore/metalcore because it's technical/progressive and still very catchy and melodic for the most part. Best metal for daily listening in my opinion.

I hear Born of Osiris because I think their sound very creative. In Rosecrance and The New Reign and they already showed they had potential and were good. The Discovery But this is a masterpiece! ~~I like Progressive Deathcore and Technical Deathcore!~~

There is definitely deathcore in their music, but it's just really good deathcore. Each release they seem to be going in a more progressive/experimental direction. Really BOO is just one of the best progressive deathcore bands :)

I never listened for BOO for their solos, because their music has never been focused on it. I guess I don't really pay that much attention to guitar solos anymore, but the solos were nice on the new album. I personally like the use of synth and more creative drum sequences more than anything on the new album in comparison to their older material.

but i can't deny that Jason is the main reason why i dig The Discovery more than their previous albums. Jason's solos from Dissimulation, XIV/Behold, Follow The Signs are memorable, yet difficult to play, and i love the riffs that McKinney played at the start of Recreate (0:24). Sounds pretty creative too.. I love The Discovery more because I didn't find any memorable/catchy technical-solos from their previous album (A Higher Place/The New Reign/ Rosecrance). no offence just my opinion though

I think The Discovery was A Higher Place with more quality. the style was the same so Jason's revolution is very overrated. I do think he was the most talented member and i'll be looking forward to his work in Chelsea grin.

lmao. Jason wasn't the sole reason why The Discovery was awesome. Let's not forget we have an entire band here. That means every single member contributed good ideas. Don't give Jason too much credit just because he threw in a couple of solos here and there. BOO has always been a great band. One guy leaving the band isn't going to be the demise of their musical creativity. [2]
