When I first heard this and was going through the shouts on this page I found it interesting that while the song has obviously been designed to evoke nostalgia in people from the 70s/80s, it had a similar effect on me, despite being born much later. Having read BoC's wiki, it seems most of their output has been engineered with this in mind, though I have only heard this album so far. Tracks like this one and Everything You Do Is A Balloon do bring back all sorts of bittersweet memories of swell times gone by.
