    This band still kicks my ass even though they've opted for a more modern sound. I love the classic Finnish melodic/raw assault form Rituale, but the newer stuff rivals it with crushing riffs and just an endless assault of sickening vocals and blasting. These guys their influences to shame

    I prefer to abrasive, harsh tones and the relentless rhythm assault of By the Blessing, not to mention superior riffing, vocals and songwriting. Rituale is juvenile, but it has classic riffs that the last two can't match (apart from two songs on Nightside Emanations), and it sounds infinitely more passionate than recent albums. From the Devil's Chalice is just incredibly catchy as well as atmospheric.

    The "My Soul For His Glory" is really shit and from the "Nightside Emanations" album are 4 song more or less good....I'm really disappointed :( ......Rituale Satanum and By the Blessing of Satan are the best ;)

    My Soul for His Glory and Nightside Emanations have become my favourites at the moment. Rituale Satanum sounds pretty juvenile and By the Blessing of Satan is just too loud (and dark). The splits and From the Devils Chalice don't fascinate because of the production. And I did say at the moment :D I still haven't such a thing as a bad Behexen song so.... I guess I'm just getting old. But I guess it's just a passing thing.
