　　　Deerhunter的主音歌手Bradford James Cox的獨創生涯的化名，1982年出生於喬治亞州的雅典市，是為一名先天性基因變異的馬凡氏症(Marfan Syndrome)罕病患者。某個聖誕節Bradford的家人買了一台卡匣式伴唱機，荒廢許久直到12歲的Bradford開始使用這台機器作簡單的音樂創作，即播放一捲帶子到一音軌上，再插上擴音器錄到前一音軌中結合，那時他便為自己取名Atlas Sound，這個取自某公司專事大量生產磁帶播錄音機的化名便延用至今，他聲稱最初的創作活動是在10歲時將敲打鍋子之類的聲響錄下來。年輕時深受一些Doop-Woop與噪音車庫女子樂團的影響，高中時的愛團是Stereolab。
　　　2007年著手錄製個人首張專輯「Let the Blind Lead Those Who Can See but Cannot Feel」，翌年先後分由美國獨立廠牌Kranky與歐洲的4AD發行，此張專輯也找來Deerhunter的夥伴兼好友Lockett Pundt在”Ice As Cold”中伴奏吉他。作品裡的音樂全程以電腦錄製，利用音樂軟體將樂器聲效予以紀錄在內，Bradford解釋這是一張意識流的專輯，歌詞屬於自傳式，反映許多他個人過往的經歷，對他及聽者而言有著意味療效的體驗感受。特別的是有幾首歌詞是關於Lockett，整張也是獻給他之作。Bradford和Lockett… Pundt(Lotus Plaza)結識於 Harrison High School 。Bradford說單獨與和在樂團中的不同之處在於，有些構想是無法和4~5人的團體一起參與的，在團裡的音樂就像寫完後就接著開始錄音，然而他個人的音樂是在錄音時才被創作出來。

Just giving the Rough Trade EP a listen and oh man, it's so sweet. 'I Know I Will Escape' (why did this not make the cut (at least for the mastered version) of Logos?!) is fantastic- it's the most depressing dreamy 'pop' music I've ever heard. I've loved everything from Deerhunter from the first listen, a trend that continued with Atlas Sound (and to a lesser extent Lotus Plaza). Both albums are fantastic pieces of work and I think musically they are brilliant, I saw him live a month or so back at Cargo in London and he seems like a genuinely nice, kind hearted person, something that seems hard to say with many of the stories coming from the music industry nowadays... I'll quit my wall of text now. But yeah, basically, I love this man and I'm a terrible fanboy really. But any artist that can create a song like Criminals, that I can then set as my alarm clock to wake me up at 7am every morning, which I then STILL actively want to listen to and hear, is a talented man indeed.
