    Gilbert has some moments where his voice really does add greatness to a track, like in My Only Home, Defender, A Greater Foundation, Tear Out My Eyes and some others, but yeah, mostly he's just an annoying prick ruining the song. I enjoyed the old bassist's vocals a lot more, even though he sounded a bit more emoish.

    Josh Gilbert... I can stand the cut and paste style choruses like The Darkest Nights, Forever, Through Struggle, Confined, Cauterize etc cause the actual music and lyrics are better than mediocre. I know Clint sang in the past, same issue, generic voice with choruses that add nothing to the tracks but a chorus. Imo AILD sound miles better when they have innovative cleans where some bloody personality is there or combined with Tim's like Nothing Left, Forsaken where the guy gets to actually SING and enhance the track. An Ocean Between Us had a typical chorus but the goddamn guitar in the background enhances it so much. Then there is Defender which is ludicrous so i'm in two minds about letting him off the reigns lol.
