The new song is ok. I'd be upset if the entire album sounded like it, though I'm sure it wont. Arsis needs crazy ass riffing and sweet drums because they are all incredibly talented musicians. Beyond Forlorn is just them slowing it down a little bit, sounds like Arch Enemy indeed. I'm expecting a good new album though, we'll see!

I agree, the fans opinion on whether or not the new sound is a development in the right direction is only subjective. terms like good or bad don't really apply, all that matters is that the band is moving in the direction they want to go, and that's developement

Beyond Forlorn is quite good in my opinion...I'd take it over WatN any day. I just hope it isn't the mastered copy. Needs to be EQ'd or something.
