Here's the confusion. This song indeed charted #1-2 weeks on the U.S. Top 40 charts in 1987. True it DID hit #5 on the Billboard U.S. R&B Charts in 1987. So it depends on which chart one would look at. Good to point that out. Around that time Freddie Jackson & Loose Ends took the #1 R&B spot leaving Aretha #5. Hard to believe.
Great Radio memories with this classic duo. It charted #5 in 1987. Her duo with Michael McDonald "Ever Changing Times" was also excellent. #19 in 1992. Aretha also has many other more unknown (yet great songs) from her Columbia Record days (pre 1967) before her move to Atlantic Records with her Million Seller "I Never Loved A Man (The Way I Love You) also #1-7 weeks.
