musiclovesme ha i'm just seeing this too. because i'm into a bunch of indie stuff and realize with titles like of montreal's kissie kiss the corpse that a bunch of this stuff isn't serious. my boyfriend on the other hand tries to make connections and things out of everything. omg, why didn't i listen to folkloric feel first? imo that kicks the national anthem of nowhere's butt..i LOVE animal fat, sleepwalking ballad(it's romanitc and dreamy to me) and most of all kings and queens. i can't understand a word they say in that song..but the feel and energy behind it is just awesome.

laurels523 @musiclovesme, Fairly sure it's a reference to Sebastien Grainger http://www.last.fm/music/Sebastien+Grainger - They only have two other albums, but I would suggest their first, Folkloric Feel. It's one of those rare albums that I feel is pretty much perfect. :)

also, super fans of this band help me out. my boyfriend keeps asking me if cheap like sebastien is a reference to someone. he's a bit older so he recognizes the la la la part from another old song. i don't really know of it referring to anything but thought i'd ask.

Diminuendo_ Ehhh... The album is pretty short already and I feel like a few of the songs should have been dropped. Kinda feels like an EP with some extra B-sides. The songs that are good are still good, just the album as a whole is pretty lacking. Snakes and What Are You Talking About? are sick 'interludes' but the rest don't really do anything for me. The songs they get right are awesome but I expected more.

Just got Eats Darkness in the mail today... The packaging is awesome. The whole design is great, the CD is extremely pretty, and the liner notes fold out into a mini poster. If you are doubting getting the physical disc just do it. Just started listening and... who could trust a bitch that could literally go fuck herself? That has got to be the most promising start to an album I have ever heard! Already in love.

I am disappointed there is no Detroit/Michigan dates. Just gonna skip over us while we're right between Toronto and Chicago? BSS, Feist, the Most Serene Republic, and more, have always stopped in MI.
