A perhaps predictable subject for this week's Tuesday Ten: it's all about space, what with it being the 40th anniversary of the first moon landings this week. I've always thought of songs written to be about space travel, or related subjects, to be a very common theme, but in the event it actually turned out to be a really bloody hard list to collate. I'm sure that readers of this will suggest many more than I came up with, though...

Where else to start than with the song that seems to sum up the mystery and wonder (and our darkest fears, too) about space travel like no other. Released, of course, the week of the moon landings back in '69…

My girlfriend has this thing about corny things and what is more corny than the Eurovision Song Contest. So, our living room is full of people playing the Eurovision Song Contest drinking game and I'm fairly certain the living room will be full of inebriated people in less than half an hour. Mind you, I'm the only man in the apartment right now and I think about… donno, half of the people here are straight, so this isn't exactly a gay Eurovision party.

Been listening to Welcome To Earth during the last couple of days and that album does have really good songs on it—really liking Fade To Black, it's good cover, and Eclipse so reminds me of 1999. It's just hard to understand how they've turned into a college rock band. Also, listened to Down In The Park last night when the lyrics started to play in my head. I wonder how that song would work with an EBM type of cover.

I think there's something wrong with me, as I've been thinking of attending Tuska, the open air metal festival. …

Saludos gente de por estos rumbos que andan de ociosos y sin nada que hacer mas que leer esta primera entrada en mi blog xD. Very Industrial, very EBM. Have only listen to a couple of albums, but it's OK. Not great, just OK. A few great tracks, mostly meh. Standout tracks so far: Die With You, Kingdom, Love Killer.
