This song is really funny...especially because I like Anti-Flag and AFI so much. It talks about how we (punks) are not supposed to fight each other, but instead fight the gov't. Also claims that Davey is a poser because "He thinks because he's got spikes on his leather, that he's the punkest," and that Davey thinks of punk as a uniform (a claim I don't really follow, I mean, AFI has traditionally been more goth in their "uniform".) I guess that makes sense but really what I think is behind this is some sort of a bad blood between the two.
Its also a lot to do with the difference between the two groups take on punk. AFI rarely (never, I think) writes political songs while the MAJORITY of Anti-Flag songs are about fighting the gov't. AFI stuff was meant to invoke images of darkness and horror (a la Misfits).
Whatever...I respect both bands and I think really what is a problem in the punk community is the self-righteous ideal that everybody who likes pop-punk or stuff other than punk is a "poser. …
