It goes: "this is the last trick I'll do: sound can be seen"
Taking into account that Anja herself admitted not knowing how to play any intrument or how to read music at all, the fact that she still manages to compose such beautiful songs becomes a real magic trick.
This song specially shows her sensibility to grandious yet delicate arrangements, building up from the simplicity of her sweet voice to a whole orchestra accompanying her triumphant march over sounds and images.

Given the amount of collaborations and cameos that Feist has done thorughtout her career, it's not a overstatement to say she is the most distinctive indie voice of the decade.
But despite her current state as an indie diva and all her pedigree, for a while there she was not that well known. The Reminder was set to be her big breakthrough, and all fans where crossing fingers for it to happen, even though no one could have predicted it was going to be this big. Just as no one could have guessed on premature evaluations of the album that 1234 would become her greatest hit.
Myself, I thought her first single, My Moon My Man, would suffice. It's a catchy song, with sexy vocals and explicit lyrics and it's got nothing on 1234. But, oh well, there's nothing written on mainstream tastes...

Impossible not to feel related to Lykke's shyness to talk straight and willingness to show her emotions on the dancefloor instead. Who hasn't felt the same way?

Söndag den 4:e januari 2009:
Nya året inleddes med en kram från SP, vilket enligt mig var en mycket bra start på lovet! Sen gick vi hem till SP och spelade supermario 3 på deras överdrivet stora tv. Det var en mycket trevlig nyårsafton måste jag säga. Denna kväll spelade jag även Guitar Hero för första gången i mitt liv, det var jätteroligt! Och jag måste säga att jag var ganska bra.
Idag åkte jag och mamma till Göteborg, men annars har veckan varit ganska slapp. Förutom i fredags då jag, SP och EL spelade twister och med andra ord hemma hos EL. Jag träffade MS ett tag i går också.
Mitt nya nyårslöfte är att leta upp min kamera och börja ta mer blider. Vi får se hur det går med den saken! Hehe.

10 MUSICAL DISCOVERIESThe Seeker
I bought PS3 and heard “The Seeker” while rocking in Guitar Hero III. I really should listen more to The Who. I love “My Generation”, “Pinball Wizard”, “Eminence Front” and this song, but I still can’t say I’ve heard a whole record of theirs.Domino
I’m not sure why I started listening to this song, but I found it in 2008 and I can’t really get enough of it. Van Morrison is usually not one of my favorites, but I guess I love the simplicity of the song and the catchy refrain. And I must say: artists of today make way too few tribute songs like this one (the song is for Fats Domino).
