And yesterday Swedish artists Anna Ternheim and The Tiny played a concert in this club. The latter opened the evening and performed some nice, quirky folk songs from their current album – singer Ellekari on piano and tambourine and her two band members alternately on bass, cello and mini-organ. She also talked a little to the audience, introducing a song which she wrote for her mother „who was a hippie“. „Well, look at me“, she added, joking: „no, I am really posh“. ;) After their encore, Anna Ternheim came on stage, dressed in black pants which were too short, with braces/suspenders, black boots, a white shirt with rolled-up sleeves and shell-rimmed glasses. ;) She opened with „Better be“, followed by songs like „I Say No“…

There's a local culture festival where they have exhibitions, theatre performances and concerts. And every Saturday for four weeks, there are concerts by alternative artists in a small club, especially opened for this festival.

The same list everyone else makes....

...of the music of 2005. I won't just list that boring list of released albums, but list the ones I've discovered and rediscovered.
1. Magnet: wonderful music from one guy named Even Johansen who happends to be from the same town as my Norwegian kin (that I've never met though). He knows how to make great acoustic music with electronics. Ambiguic sentence I know, but listen and hear for yourselves.
Fave tracks:
Where Happiness Lives and
Hold On and (as "everybody else")
2. Eels Fellow man on last.fm tipped me about this Unitied Statsian group. I'm not normally into music from across of the atlantic ( guess I have something against the accent, don't take me wrong, but I don't like the way they say R over there while singing), but in spite of the very american accent of the singer Mr. E I can't help but love this music. Here's a band who knows how to proper use strings.
Fave songs:
Flyswatter and
Fresh Feeling.
