　　成立时间：1988年
　　现状：活动中
　　来自：瑞典通巴
　　乐队风格：Melodic Death Metal（旋律死亡金属）

详细介绍
　　1988年组建，当时命名为Scum，乐队原来的风格是Grindcore（碾核）。当Johan Hegg加入后，风格转向了Melodic Death Metal（旋律死亡金属）。
　　1992年，乐队更名为Amon Amarth。Amon Amarth取自英国作家托尔金的小说《指环王》，Amon Amarth在小说中是指一个特定的地点，即位于中土世界的末日山。
　　1993年乐队发行了第一张Demo《Thor Arise》。
　　1994年乐队发行了第二张Demo《The Arrival of the Fimbul Winter》，限量1000张，在不到12个小时内销售一空。

　　2张Demo后，乐队终于签约新加坡著名极端金属公司Pulverised Records，并于1996年发行了首张MCD《Sorrow Throughout the Nine Worlds》，卖出6000张。
　　之后乐队签约老牌死亡金属公司Metal Blade Records，并于1998年发行了首张大碟《Once Sent from the Golden Hall》，大受欢迎。从此名扬世界！

I knew you'd be bringing that up... how predictable. Pointing out the irony is quite substantial, no matter where it's derived from. At least I now know for sure you're auditory handicapped... anyone seriously considering Slayer to be more diverse than Amon Amarth should probably just stop listening to music in general.

Don't project your own impairment onto me... just because you are auditory handicapped, doesn't mean I'm a fanboy. I can always accept substantial criticism, when valid arguments are being presented... but someone who's obviously enjoying Eluveitie (or someone with a username like DimebagMustain, for that matter) accusing Amon Amarth of having identical albums, simply can not be taken seriously due to overwhelming irony. Don't confuse Amon Amarth with AC/DC or Slayer.
