I like the tags for the tracks on Phoenix. While perhaps not always accurate, it seems people have actually tagged individual songs, and haven't just slapped the general tags of the band on each song.

born_to_amplify I likle their older stuff best, but in any case this band is fantastic, and severely underrated. Blacken The Angel and Higher Art Of Rebellion are masterpieces.

dark_wisdom "I stiil cant understand why bands use sex screams of women in its songs" I assume they do it to give a lustful atmosphere to the music. Its not always stupid, sometimes it fits the concept, specially when the band uses vampirism as the lyrical theme.

Spirit_Soldier Umm.. I like Chapter III the best, but blacken and higher art are both really great. New albums are ok, but I liked the old sound better.

sublimewreckage I will always have a place in my playlist for Blacken the Angel. Tracks like Tristetea Vehementa, Near Dark, Sfintit Cu Roua Suferintii, Stingher / Alone and Ribbons / Requiem are perfect marriages of the goth/symphonic/black metal thing (Banner of Blasphemy and After Dark are worthy mentions too); best heard in twilight hours of course! This is their one CD I've owned -- since the late 90s -- and it is still powerful to this day when the mood arises to hear it.

darkmanv5 Higher art of Rebellion and Blacken the angel are my 2 favorite albums by this band. It is similar to Catamenia, Graveworm and Cryptic Wintermoon's older albums. However, the albums Chapter III, Serpent's Embrace and Phoenix have a very diffrent sound and more clean vocals than what I am normally used to. So I am not really much of a fan of those 3 albums, but they are closer to Gothic Metal than melodic black metal.

Verrjerah I respected them strongly for "Blacken the Angel" and "Chapter III". The second album is a pale semblance of these both. "Serpent's Embrace" obviously is a crap. "Phoenix" is not better, but its rather different. Nonetheless, as i wrote higher, the 1st and the 3rd albums a masterpiece-like...

Soul_Harvester Chapter III and Blacken the Angel are their best albums. Serpent's Embrace is lolilol black metal but fortunately Phoenix raise a little the level after that
