are you kidding me? lol Agalloch is one of the best bands period. Their originality alone speaks for itself. Melodies are beautiful. Musicianship is superb. Lyrics are over the top great. And most importantly they sound EXACTLY the same when they play live. Enough said.

I second checking out Ulver's black metal stuff, if you're looking for somewhat similar music. But as many have said it before, Agalloch is quite unique in today's music scene.

Ulver's first two albums definitely were heavily influential on Agalloch, so worth checking, though not exactly similar - remember it's still early Norwegian black metal :)

I think Sculptured is there because John Haughm worked with them, and also they feature Don Anderson and Jason William Walton.

Morningside is the closest band to the Agalloch sound I have heard so far. I don't think Woods of Ypres sound terribly similar, nor do Drudkh. I haven't heard much of the others to comment on, but Sculptured are nothing like Agalloch.
