You may have noticed new Aereogramme stuff popping up here. The album was released in Japan last week and I spent basically £20 having it sent over.
Aereogramme's label-chemikal underground - have postponed its release until January 30th and therefore pretty much everywhere apart from Japan won't see it til then. Obviously, as it's openly released, it has leaked.
PLEASE order it if you've downloaded it. Available from HMV Japan
Essentially, they've taken the orchestration and beauty of tracks like
Black Path, Sunday 3:52 and
In Gratitude and made an entire album detailing the fight between love and depression. I've spent the past few days utterly absorbed in it.
There are no screams or shuddering bursts of distortion on this album. Some have unfavourably compared it to Keane and James Blunt. Niet. I am here to assure you that no such cheese plagues this album. Just buy it.
By the way, they're playing their only gig of the year in London Water Rats on November 15th. See you there. :D
