Gold: Greatest Hits, ★★★½.
Notes: A relic of my childhood and Disney channel, except I knew them through some cover band or something called A*Teens that went quickly by the wayside. Anyway, I have such an unabashed weakness for disco pop, but the majority of this album was pretty meh. I kept making unfavourable comparisons with The Bangles, which, yeah, different era completely, but whatever. This is my music journal, I am entitled to make whichever inaccurate assessments I choose. Some of the tracks were worth a listen, though, and I know that in one of those rare moments I have a desperate need for pop music in my life, I will appreciate this being in my collection. It'll also be one of those buffer albums that I can play around people who don't listen to pretentious hipster trash unlike me. …
