Uncle Mike's A-Z Disc A

The plan was to make a couple of mixes for my 12 yr old niece. As I tried to compiIe the first CD, I soon discovered that there was much to share with her which she might not not hear elsewhere. And so, a couple of mixes has become the A-Z series. I will get her a cd of 20 or so songs on an 80 minute CD every two or three weeks. Here is what I've got down for A:

Ik weet waarlijk niet meer hoe ik de Acid House Kings ken. Ik geloof via een gratis CD'tje die de VPRO heeft samengesteld. Wat grappig is, is dat mensen door het woord Acid House denken dat het heel andere muziek is. This Heart Is A Stone is toch wel een van mijn favorieten.

One of the many groups that my close friend Sam introduced me to over the past few years. This is potentially my favorite song of theirs and has some very clever play-on-words lyrics that make me smile every time. The Acid House Kings are clearly a twee pop band from Sweden but they sing in English.
