Abdullah Ibrahim - Mannenberg

I spent two days in Cape Town with Abdullah Ibrahim. Formally known as Dollar Brand. We went to Robin Island where Mandela was a prisoner and visited his cell. It was Abdullah's first time ever. When Mandela was a prisoner, they were not allowed to play or listen to music. A lawyer smuggled a copy of this song and they played it over the loud speakers. It was the first time Mandela had heard music in over a decade.
