!!! Feest !!!
2010年 12月 12日, 14:24 作者:rooie666
Sat 11 Dec – Speedfest 2010
WANTED: KC/Lawrence (& more) Music
2010年 11月 18日, 3:13 作者:thisisahiijack
1. This is an ever-growing list of bands and albums I am searching for. Much like the 'haves' journal, not all of these artists are current residents of the area, but all of them have called the region home at one time or another.
2. This list will never be completely up-to-date, as there are so many musicians that have come out of the area and have released albums with multiple bands. I've also chalked it up to a near-impossibility that I will ever get all of these, but I can try.
3. I'm open for almost all types of music. If you have something you may not see here, don't let that keep you from speaking up about it. The only types of music I make a general rule not to track down are those who lean more towards a sound of rap rock/nu-metal (downthesun, 8 degrees, Canvas), bar band/classic rock/hair metal/general guitar wankery (Puddle of Mudd fits into the bar band category, the others I don't care to list examples for), or bad rap (Tech N9ne, countless others).

i don't really go to national shows, mostly because i live in charlotte, and $trmnt$ money hall has totally fucked our scene. so heres a list of local nc/sc bands i've seen probably a billion times, then some random "national" bands. i won't go into detail about the amount of times i've seen any of these bands, cause most are 5 to 10 times at least.

Groan...here is the incredibly ubiquitous Last.fm journal game of insulting your top 20 artists. I'm bored, and I needed somewhere to use the journal title. =P
I actually mean some of these things, but not all. XD Rated G. Yeah, right. Haha.
1. Propagandhi
Hey, Chris. Remember when I was looking for a blank page in my notebook for you to sign, and I said something about how there was a lot of Propagandhi-inspired writing in there, and you were like "I won't read it, then"? What the fuck was that all about? Asshole.
Hey, everyone in Propagandhi. You are not "progressive thrash". You are a fucking punk band, albeit perhaps less "straight-forward punk" than before---punk nonetheless. You can pretentiously make fun of the declining punk scene all you want, but that's what you are. Deal with it, bitches.
2. Jucifer
Okay, so we've got metal, sludge, indie rock, pop, hip hop, punk...please choose one. … -

MIDMOURN, Stella Vicarious, strong arm down
7:00 PM, $10
MidMourn is a 5-piece hardcore band band from Pasadena/Culver City. Since 2005 they have been playing shows and writing music together. They have a three-song demo out that will start being available at their shows. At the moment, they do not have as many opportunities to play shows because of college, but whenever possible they try to play, and new material is expected to come.
Monday, March 3rd
Aerodrone, Intruder Alert!, The Truth and The Deuce from Hollywood Undead, brokeNCYDE
7:30 PM, $10 advance, $12 day of show
Their song “Sceneboy” is destined for great things, at least the conquering of all iPods in the free world. Aerodrone started in 2007 when Gary Zon started making Nintendo-like tracks on FruityLoops inspired by such bands as Jimmy Eat World, the Faint, and the Killers, with the intention of having the tracks eventually played with real instruments. …
