    i used to have a huge list of post-rock tracks that had spoken words in them, but i seemed to have misplaced it!!!!!

    there's just something about them that makes them unique and very interesting, at least to me.....so here, i'll re-create that list, one track at a time. any and all help would be greatly appreciated. ;)

  • songs with beautiful titles (pt. I)

    there are so many post-rock bands out there, and so many lovely titles to their songs. sometimes when i go to a post-rock band's last.fm page and look at their charts i am amazed at how evocative the titles of their works are, and what a good job they do painting pictures of songs without words (usually- a silver mt. zion is one exception since they have lyrics on about half of their tracks)

    so i thought that here i'd make a BIG HUGE SCRUMPTIOUS LIST of really gorgeous, heartrending, or otherwise amazingly descriptive song titles, mainly, but not entirely, from post-rock bands. i alphabetized them by artist. keep in mind that my taste in post-rock is somewhat limited, and consists mainly of Explosions in the Sky (which i adore as one of my favorite bands over all) Sigur Ros, and Godspeed You! Black Emperor/ A Silver Mt. Zion. i have a list, however, of 40-50 post-rock, electronic, instrumental, and ambient groups that i mean to listen to at some point. in order to compile this wondrous list, i simply went to their last. …
