Zach216 There's like (AT LEAST) 16 badass songs on Transistor alone so to say they have 10-good tunes means you must be lame and only enjoy singles? A lot of Soundsytem is great... From Chaos & Evolver were strong releases basically all the way through. The first 3 records still sound like a band figuring out an identity & who they actually are (This is a common occurrence in a lot of very great bands)... but I'd take about the strongest 5 songs off those first 3 records which would be an additional 15 tracks

I was expecting impressive charts from jonnyj24... but he's more mainstream and ridiculous than I could have possibly imagined. Metallica, Radiohead and Pearl Jam... are you kidding me? 3 of the worst bands of the past 20 years easily.

I dig it and all.. came here to check out the charts lookin for older stuff.. then suddenly i see "Amber". WOW! I was looking for this music long time. I first listened Amber in a tribute, made by a string quartet - u should check it out. Downloading Amber's disc right away!!

@force_of_will maybe its the order i heard them in! evolver was the first one that clicked with me, after trying out blue, soundsystem, from chaos and then transistor it just didnt measure upto the others for me. it didnt have a strong opener like creatures or a funky finish like ill be here a while, the guitar sound feels flat and the vocals sound treated with something, or maybe layered and i just didnt get it, i struggle to listen to the album in one go, i honestly find myself getting bored before the end, i dont get that with any of gtheir other releases.

And that is ignoring the mellow, feel good songs like Running, Rub a Dub, Stealing Happy Hours, etc. I don't get how anyone could ever call Transistor of all albums one giant song. I'm not getting all butt hurt over it, I just don't see it at all. Evolver was way, way, way more one dimensional than Transistor.

Spikey, you are seriously the only dude I've ever met who said Transistor left him "feeling meh." Not to suggest you don't have a right to your preferences, but what exactly is meh feeling about songs like Galaxy, Tune In, No Control, etc.? Personally, any time I listen to one of those songs I get pumped up like "FUCK YEAH, TIME TO TAKE ON THE WORLD MOTHERFUCKER!"

@verbalimaginary i dont hate transistor, i just dont get the love for it that the rest of the fanbase seems to get! the rest of the albums really jump out at me, be it awesome (evolver) or not so awesome (soundsystem), either way they grab me one way or the other, transistor just leaves me feeling a little meh.

alright duder cam down! i get it we obviously aren`t going to see eye to eye about these guys, odd really considering we both like them and are merely disagreeing over individual albums. and i think you might be misunderstanding me, when i call blue lightweight nu metal that is far from being bad, i like nu metal! so thats far from insulting, which i think is how it must have come across for you to get that annoyed about it, but i still just don`t get transistor!
