After six long months of waiting, they are finally here, the glorious poly-carbonate discs hand cut with grooves to truly make your head shake. This co-release from Frail Walls Productions and Dirgehead Distribution Company offers up some truly hard to listen to sonic art in 100% DIY fashion. So DIY in fact, that Rick Ta Life himself has weeped at the mere thought of this 7". Every aspect of this record was handmade, from the silkscreened cover, to the hand cutting of each record by the mythical Peter King, and of course the music carved into the grooves.

Metalcore is an umbrella term used to describe fusion genres that incorporate elements of the hardcore punk and heavy metal genres. The term is a combination of heavy metal and hardcore punk. The term took on its current meaning in the mid-1990s, describing bands like Earth Crisis, Deadguy and Integrity.

The earliest of these groups, Integrity, began performing in 1989. Metalcore is distinguished from other punk metal fusions by its emphasis on breakdowns: slower, intense passages conducive to moshing.

yes that's rick ta life. WITHOUT HIS SIGNATURE DREADLOCKS! at first glance I was shocked and appalled. What would bring about such a radical change?

Soon after, however, I came to embrace the new RTL. In reality, shaving his head has made him more streamlined in order to deliver the message of brotherhood and unity in the hardcore scene faster and more efficiently. Bravo.
