16 Horsepower
16 Horsepower，我最最喜欢的乐队之一，那是风沙的声音，先知的咆哮，虽是另类乡村风格，用的也主要是乡村乐器，但魄力不输给任何一支最优秀的摇滚乐队，而其挥之不去的阴霾感，则是所谓Southern Goth的典范。最重要的是，16马力的音乐契合我的灵魂。因着他们我进而发现了数支出色的丹佛乐队，确定了我所喜爱另类乡村路线。
主唱David Eugene Edwards的个人乐队Woven Hand，以创作现代舞配乐为开端，去年的近作全面展示他的个人才华和浓重的宗教气息，在我心中堪与Nick Cave最好的专辑Tender Prey相提并论。而法国鼓手Jean-Yves Tola与贝司手Pascal Humbert组的Lilium则以富有氛围感的配乐为主，和Friend of Dean Matinez有点像，也会邀请歌手在专辑里客串演唱（包括请了同城好友John Grant来噢），曲子很是优美。
成立10年就解散，我觉得很意外也很遗憾，但是我相信，以他们三人的创造力，绝对可以在当今乐坛独当一面。所以，我会继续死忠的！这两周内会陆续传一些16马力的专辑和个人分支专辑。是为纪念，纪念这支上世纪末本世纪初最激荡人心的乐队（之一）！
下为1997年的四人阵容，左起应该是：Jean Yves Tola（鼓），David Eugene Edwards（主唱），Pascal Humbert（贝司），Jeffrey-Paul Norlander（临时的吉他手）
