It's already that time of the year: For the fourth consecutive time, I'm presenting my All Time Top 100! I'm trying to post a song a day. かなり久しぶりに、「あぁーー夢でよかった！」と目が覚めて安堵するほどのいやな夢を見た。

20代の頃やっていた習い事のバンドのライブがテレビ中継されていて、出番が迫っているのになぜかまだ家にいてもう間に合わない！っていう内容。。

大した内容じゃないんだけど、見ている当人はすごく焦ってて。

目が覚めて、あーもう大丈夫なんだと確認しながらもやな夢見たなーという後味の悪さ。


。。。寒い朝だー。。。



なんかこのブログで紹介してる曲って洋楽多いよなぁ。

でも８０年代と９０年代ばっかだけど。

昔はそれほど自分的に洋楽が充実してたってことかな。

まぁ最近の洋楽も聴かないわけではないのでそれはまたの機会に。

Original band member Graham Gouldman who has put this incarnation of 10cc together wrote many songs for other bands during the 1960's and in the first half hour we were treated to some of his songs that he had written. It was a wonderful acoustic set of glorious 60's music. This was the first time I've ever seen a band act as support for themselves!

You may not realise what great songs Graham wrote back then so here's what they played and who had hits with them!

Sat 28 Feb – 10cc

10cc doing a theatre tour through the Netherlands. it sounds strange but it turned out to be a great succes. 10cc nowadays is mainly Graham Gouldman, the only founder member left of the four who started 10cc in 1972. Besides Graham Gouldman Rick Fenn and Paul Burgess are involved with the band since 1977. Mick Wilson joined in 2000 and Keith Hayman is the musical director of Cliff Richard and working with 10cc since 2006.

Still the subtitle for the tour is "Featuring Graham Gouldman and Friends". But it's nice to see such respected artists perform in a theatre creating an intimate atmosphere. Although I've never seen the legendary line-up or the two plus line-up in later years, this re-incarnation of 10cc delivers a good evening of great songs performed with a lot of fun and enthusiasm. It was just a walk along memory lane with a pack of great seventies hit singles, some sixties tracks written by Graham Gouldman for various artists during those days like The Hollies and Herman's Hermits…

Listen to music because you enjoy it.
Not because it's cool to be seen listening to.
I found this statement some days ago on this blog: Mainstream Isn't So Bad...Is It? and it is a wise device as I think. "A guilty pleasure is known as a something one considers pleasurable despite it being mainly received negatively or looked down on by a majority of society." A guilty pleasure is something you like, but you hide this affection, worrying about being uncool in the eyes of your environment. I looked at the guilty pleasure tag on Last.fm and found 87 of the top 100 songs in my iTunes. That makes me to the most uncool person here, doesn't it? Our friends, acquaintances, community, social life, whatsoever defines what a guilty pleasure is. Without doubt, everyone has some favorite songs that he/she listens, feeling inadequate, defining this to be a guilty pleasure makes it a bit more acceptable, doesn't it?
